2012 will be my 5th season mountainbiking. I’m starting to feel well established as a bike rider, balancing training and travelling with life as a student. I’ll continue riding for the German Team Fujibikes Rockets, which I’m really looking forward to. For 2012 I’ve put my studies on hold most of the year to focus on life as a mountainbiker, enjoying all the things that happen in an olympic year, which I’ll experience for the first time.

I’ve been mountainbiking since 2006. I got introduced to the sport due to adventureracing and soon experienced, that it was on the mountainbike I felt the strongest and had the most fun. My whole life I’ve always been physically active, but never did any sport at top level.

When I moved to Copenhagen in 2006 to start studying dentistry, I also joined a triathlon club to keep fit for adventureracing. I started doing cross-duathlon races (combination af mountainbiking and trail-running), but soon skipped running and started focusing solely on mountainbiking. That quickly payed off and within very short time I found myself the best danish female rider.

My greatest achievements so far have been the experiences where everything has come together in a way, where I feel I have moved up a level. I enjoy feeling surprised by what I’m capable of. In these situations I feel strong and confident and able to do anything. This has payed off in a lot of racevictories and great results. In 2011 my greatest results are the marathon world champion title, 2nd place at World Cup XCO in England, 3rd place at World Cup XCO in USA and overall winner of the German Bundesliga.

I know, that I have the potential of more improvement and that more fun adventures are ahead of me, and that is what keeps my wheels spinning!

See you on track!

    Hej Annika

    Hej Alexander

Tak!

    Vh Kim Krogh
